From a Winning Photograph to a Featured Story: Celebrating a Special Farmall H Journey

The past few days have been filled with gratitude, excitement, and a few happy surprises.

Last year, I entered a photograph of Kade’s beloved 1952 Farmall H into the Steiner Tractor contest, hoping to share a small piece of his passion for preserving agricultural history. The photo captured more than just a vintage tractor—it represented years of hard work, dedication, and appreciation for the equipment that helped shape generations of farming families.

When I submitted the image, I never imagined it would receive such wonderful recognition. To my surprise and excitement, the photograph was selected as a winning entry and later featured in the Steiner Tractor Parts May 2026 calendar. Seeing Kade’s Farmall H showcased alongside other remarkable antique tractors was an incredible honor and a moment of pride for our entire family.

It was a reminder that every restored tractor has a story, and that preserving these pieces of history helps keep the legacy of agriculture alive for future generations.

Then came another unexpected blessing.

After the photo feature, I submitted Kade's story about the restoration and rebuild of the tractor for consideration on the Antique Tractor Blog. The project represents much more than repairing an old machine—it reflects hard work, dedication, family memories, and a passion for preserving agricultural history.

I'm thrilled to share that the story was selected and recently published by the Antique Tractor Blog.

The Farmall H holds a special place in farming history, having been produced from 1939 to 1953 and becoming one of the most recognized tractors of its era.

To have both the photograph and Kade's restoration story recognized is something I will always treasure. These moments remind us that the stories behind old tractors are really stories about the people, families, and traditions that keep them alive.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, encouraged, and followed along on this journey.  I’m truly grateful and excited to continue sharing more farming and tractor restoration adventures in the years ahead.

Until Next Time,
Connie Rohloff
